A New Year, A Larger Calling
Building Willful Positivity Together
Every new year is a gate. Some walk through it carrying gratitude. Others carry fear. A few carry vision. This year, I am choosing vision.
As the calendar turns, I want to begin with a simple, heartfelt word: Happy New Year. I am grateful you are here. I am grateful you have read, listened, shared, commented, prayed, and stayed. And I am grateful that by God’s grace we have come this far together. But I must also tell you plainly: this next season demands more than gratitude. It demands partnership.
What began as a conviction has grown into something real. Willful Positivity started as a decision: to reject despair, refuse cynicism, and choose disciplined hope in an age addicted to outrage. From that decision grew a Substack community, conversations, comment threads, and a growing family of readers who believe America is still worth loving and worth restoring.
From there came the Restitch America podcast, a space to speak honestly about faith, culture, immigration, citizenship, and the moral repair our nation so desperately needs. From there came social media communities across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, where short-form messages carry long-form truths into places dominated by noise. From there came LIFTRA (Legal Immigrants for the Restoration of America), a charitable effort rooted in gratitude for this nation and responsibility toward its future.
All of this has been carried by a team of two people. That fact alone should humble us. And it should clarify the moment we are in.
I want to be transparent with you. My hope for this new year is to turn Willful Positivity into a sustainable, integrated project, one that aligns every part of this calling into a single, purposeful mission: the Willful Positivity Substack community, the Restitch America podcast, our social media platforms and digital communities, LIFTRA as a moral and civic voice for legal immigrants, a speaking tour across America bringing these conversations face-to-face, and yes, my entrepreneurial ventures, integrated honestly, responsibly, and transparently to support the work.
This is not small. It is not easy. And it is not guaranteed. Scripture tells us to count the cost. Faith is not fantasy. Hope is not denial. I recognize the challenge ahead. Building something sustainable in an age that monetizes outrage instead of truth is uphill work. Speaking with moral clarity when confusion is fashionable carries a price. Refusing tribalism while still standing for principles guarantees resistance.
And yet, here we are. Not because the road is smooth, but because the destination matters. America does not need louder voices. It needs steadier ones. It does not need more anger. It needs more anchored courage. Willful Positivity exists to help provide that.
So let me speak plainly and humbly. I need your help. Not applause. Not flattery. Not “someone should do something.” I need participation.
There are many ways you can join this journey. If you have skills in social media management, content scheduling, video editing, graphic design, or digital strategy, we desperately need you. Please reach out to us at willfulpositivity@gmail.com. Your story matters. Your perspective matters. If you have something constructive to say about faith, citizenship, culture, or restoration, Restitch America is a table with an open seat. This platform should not sound like only one voice. Submit thoughtful, values-rooted writing for consideration. Help shape the intellectual and moral tone of what we build next. This is not a closed project. It is a living one. Your ideas, feedback, and discernment can help guide what Willful Positivity becomes going forward.
Now let me address the most direct and practical step. If you have found value in what we have built so far, if you have been encouraged, sharpened, or challenged, if this work has helped you see the moment more clearly, please consider becoming a paying subscriber this year. Not as a transaction, but as a vote of confidence.
This work has been sustained, until now, by sacrifice and faith. But sacrifice without sustainability eventually collapses, even when the calling is real. Your support helps ensure that this mission does not merely survive, but grows stronger, broader, and more impactful.
I do not believe this work is accidental. I believe it is timed. America is in a season of decision. Institutions are shaking. Narratives are fraying. Many are exhausted by lies but unsure where to stand. Willful Positivity exists to say: Stand here. On truth without cruelty. On faith without fear. On patriotism without apology. And I believe deeply that more is required of us now, not less. But callings are confirmed not only by conviction. They are confirmed by companionship.
As we step into this new year, I am not promising ease. I am promising purpose. I am not promising perfection. I am promising faithful effort, honest leadership, and a willingness to listen, adjust, and grow with you.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for reading. Thank you for believing that disciplined hope is still worth choosing. Let’s build this together.
