“Let all your things be done with charity.” — 1 Corinthians 16:14
“Unspoken love is a seed that never grows until it is given light.” — Alma Ohene-Opare
Commentary:
Love was never meant to be hidden. God designed our relationships to be strengthened through honest words that lift, reassure, and bind hearts together. Too often we assume others already know how we feel, yet the human spirit is nourished by hearing it plainly. Freedom in relationships comes when fear no longer silences affection. Just as sunlight awakens a field each morning, spoken love awakens hope in those we cherish.
Many people carry silent burdens that a simple expression of care could ease. A parent wondering if their efforts matter, a friend wrestling with doubt, a spouse longing to hear they are valued—these moments invite us to speak life. Our words become bridges that connect hearts, much like a lantern guiding travelers through darkness. Withholding love can shrink trust, but expressing it enlarges the soul and strengthens our ability to act with moral courage.
When we choose to speak love sincerely, we reflect the nature of Christ, whose ministry was filled with words that comforted, healed, and restored. His voice carried truth wrapped in compassion, showing us that love expressed is love empowered.
