“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” — Joshua 1:9
“Truth becomes powerful in a human heart the moment courage chooses to carry it forward.” — Alma Ohene-Opare
Commentary:
Truth is never passive. It waits for willing hands and steady voices, yet it refuses to force itself upon anyone. Courage is the companion that helps truth take form in a world often shaped by fear, convenience, or confusion. When we choose what is right despite uncertainty, truth grows roots in our character and influences our community for good.
Courage is not loud or reckless. It is often the quiet resolve to speak with clarity, to act with integrity, and to remain faithful when doing so is costly. Just as a lighthouse holds its beam steady through storm and darkness, a courageous follower of Christ holds truth steady in shifting times. Each small act of honesty strengthens the soul, teaching us that moral clarity is not achieved by comfort but by obedience.
When we anchor our courage in Christ, truth becomes more than principle. It becomes a path. Christlike living invites us to walk that path with humility, conviction, and trust in the One who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
