Daily Devotional - July 24th, 2026
“...and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” — Esther 4:14

Commentary:
History often celebrates great leaders, but heaven often begins with faithful servants. Esther did not seek a throne for power or recognition. She was placed there by God’s providence, then faced the defining question of her life: Would she remain silent, or would she courageously step forward for the sake of her people? Her decision reminds us that God’s purposes are frequently carried forward through ordinary people who choose extraordinary obedience.
A nation is not preserved merely by stronger institutions or louder voices. It is strengthened when individuals embrace moral courage, personal responsibility, and unwavering faith. A lighthouse does not push back the darkness by force. It simply shines where it stands. In the same way, God calls each of us to be faithful in our homes, workplaces, churches, and communities. We may never stand before a king, but every day presents moments to defend truth, extend mercy, encourage righteousness, and protect those who cannot protect themselves.
No one can predict how God will use a single act of faithfulness. Esther’s courage changed the course of a nation because she trusted God’s timing more than her fears. When we surrender our lives to His purposes, our influence reaches farther than we can imagine. This is the quiet strength of Christlike living: trusting God enough to stand faithfully where He has placed us.

Daily Application:
Pray for your nation today, then intentionally look for one opportunity to demonstrate courage, speak truth with love, or serve someone in a way that reflects God's character. Small acts of obedience are often the beginning of great works in God's hands.
