Gods plan for mankind is sure. His principles do not change as He does not change. I believe that the Old Law was given to Israel specifically as His people and to us as a school master to bring us to Christ (Romans 15:4). An example of how God expects His people to live.

So, I do not believe we are commanded to keep the sabbath, but we are to keep the first day of the week (I Cor. 15:20; Lev. 23:9) the “first fruits” is a term often used to describe Christ and Christians.

However, that being said, the PRINCIPLES of God do not change. And the principles so beautifully stated in this devotional are so very spot on! We ARE too busy! We DO have time for everything but God and when those things happen, indeed we forget the most important things.

One of the tools the devil used most effectively is; busy, noise, lights, crowds.

We DO need to self discipline and set aside real time for closeness to Him. Prayer, reading Scriptures, Study, Meditation.

And this is hard to do -the devil makes it so- but it must be done I. Order to feed our souls.

Thank you for this timely post.
