Daily Devotional - July 30th, 2026

Commentary:
The last few days have been a reminder that even the strongest among us have seasons of weakness. Illness has a way of slowing our pace, exposing our limitations, and reminding us that we are not sustained by willpower alone. Yet endurance is not about never needing to rest. It is about choosing, as strength returns, to keep moving toward the good that God has placed before us. Just as a lighthouse continues to shine through storms without chasing the waves, we are called to remain faithful to our purpose even when life temporarily interrupts our plans.
One reason I wanted to continue writing these devotionals is because I believe letting my light shine is one way I can endure in the light of Christ. That conviction reminds me that enduring to the end is rarely accomplished through dramatic moments. More often, it is found in ordinary acts of faithfulness repeated day after day. A kind word, a sincere prayer, a lesson shared, or a testimony written can become a steady light for someone walking through darkness. The Lord does not ask us to be endlessly strong. He asks us to be willing, trusting Him to supply strength that we do not possess on our own.
As we choose to rise after hardship, we discover that resilience is not simply recovering from difficulty. It is allowing trials to deepen our dependence on God while strengthening our commitment to bless others. That is the pattern of Christ, who endured all things with perfect love and invites us to walk in His light.
