“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” — John 4:24
“Worship is not escape from life; it is the realignment that makes life clear again.” — Alma Ohene-Opare
Commentary:
Life has a way of pulling the soul off center. Responsibilities, distractions, and constant noise can quietly shift our focus until what matters most becomes blurred. Worship restores alignment. Like a compass recalibrated to true north, the heart that turns toward God regains clarity about identity, purpose, and direction. It is not merely singing or routine. It is a deliberate reordering of priorities, placing God back at the center where He belongs.
True worship is both inward and outward. It begins with reverence in the heart but expresses itself in choices, attitudes, and actions. Just as a musician must regularly tune an instrument to produce harmony, we must return often to God to keep our lives in tune with His will. When worship becomes consistent, it corrects subtle drift before it becomes serious distance. It reminds us that we are not self-made, but God-guided.
Christ showed that worship is a way of life, not confined to a place or moment. He lived in continual alignment with the Father, choosing obedience even when it required sacrifice. As we follow His example, worship becomes more than a practice. It becomes a pattern. In that pattern, we find renewed peace, sharpened vision, and strength to live with purpose and Christlike living.
