“My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions.” — Daniel 6:22
“When pressure rises, integrity reveals who we truly serve.” — Alma Ohene-Opare
Commentary:
Daniel’s story is not about surviving lions. It is about refusing to bow before them. Faced with a decree that challenged his devotion, Daniel chose consistency over convenience. He did not adjust his faith to fit the moment. He remained steady, knowing that truth does not bend under pressure. Integrity is built long before it is tested.
In a world that rewards shortcuts, standing firm can feel costly. Opportunities may slip, relationships may strain, and outcomes may seem uncertain. Yet integrity creates a foundation that cannot be shaken. Like a bridge anchored deep beneath the surface, it holds steady when storms pass through. Compromise may offer temporary relief, but it erodes trust over time.
Christ demonstrated unwavering integrity in every circumstance, even when it led to the cross. His life reminds us that obedience to truth is never wasted, even when the reward is delayed.
